Our Mission
In countries impacted by poverty, injustice, or war, Greentree Global builds communities through education and enterprise, with emphasis given to the values embodied in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

What We Do
EDUCATION | ENTERPRISE | ENVIRONMENT
EDUCATION
Studies have consistently shown a strong correlation between the lack of quality educational experiences and various forms of human misery. Providing a quality education to children normally marginalized by society is an important part of breaking the cycle of poverty and discrimination that characterizes their lives. We also recognize the value of educational opportunities that emphasize social justice and cultural exchange for all students, regardless of socio-economic status. As a result, Greentree Global facilitates both formal education and cultural exchange through the following programs:
Educational Services
Since English language acquisition is an important factor in economic and social advancement, Greentree Global Educational Services provides qualified native-English speakers for teaching positions in institutions throughout the world. Our growing network of schools incorporates a broad range of opportunities from early childhood through university level. A rigorous process determines the suitability of each applicant and matches that applicant to the teaching opportunity that best fits his or her background, disposition, and area of interest.
Cultural Immersion Programs
Believing that cultural understanding is a key to breaking down barriers and building a better future, Greentree Global provides four-week summer field experiences that expose university students to cultural milieus different than their own. In the process, participants are introduced to sites and personalities of contemporary and historical significance and encouraged to explore ways of bringing this enlarged perspective back to their circles of influence.
Globalization has enhanced the opportunities for breaking the cycle of human misery that exists all around the world. As we take advantage of these opportunities, we need to be committed to pursuing intervention characterized by compassion and cultural sensitivity. By partnering accomplished professionals with these qualities with people in areas of great challenges, we can address immediate needs in areas such as hygiene, hunger, and medical services as well as create future enterprises in these same areas that are scalable and sustainable.
Four Freedoms Initiative
In some of the darkest days of the Second World War, President Franklin Roosevelt set forth what was at once the vision and hope of oppressed peoples all over the world. His “Four Freedoms” speech—Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Worship, Freedom from Want, Freedom from Fear—became a rallying cause for millions caught in a life and death struggle with tyranny. When victory was ultimately achieved, the Four Freedoms became the central tenets of the United Nations’ Declaration of Human Rights.
These Freedoms underscore the link between liberty, security, and economic opportunity. Greentree Global’s Four Freedoms Initiative builds on this foundation through leadership training, business seminars, and resource development—equipping a new generation of entrepreneurs and building stronger communities.
Giving Trees Program
One of the greatest obstacles to advancing the aspirations of people in developing countries is the devastating impact of polluted soil and water, desertification, and deforestation. Trees are nature’s connection between the land and the air, providing natural ways to curb erosion, clean the air, reduce energy consumption, and provide shelter and nourishment. Greentree Global’s Giving Trees program provides opportunity for long-term impact on the health and environment of poor communities.
